My friend Sloane
reported back from a weekend on Fire Island a month ago that the
American Apparel Sheer
Jersey Short Sleeve Deep V-Neck was the hot new thing; guys were mobbing
the revolutionary early adoptor queens who were busting out the $18 Tees and demanding to know
where they’d got them. By the next weekend the shirt was ubiquitous, white and
pink being the most popular colors.
We used the Deep-V
for an Island Style shoot I produced for Key West Magazine that appeared in
March. Somehow I think this rather dramatique Tee has a different effect on our
model Aaron, an extremely laid-back boat captain, than it does on the well-groomed

i've noticed this trend as well. i've actually seen quite a few in black. i will say that for most boys, it takes balls, or i guess, tits to pull it off. my friend christian bought two (black and red) while we were in vancouver. i saw one in white in chicago, quite liked it, and i thought i might try to work it into my arsenal. but i guess if queens on fire island are doing it, it's not worth investing in at this point. thanks for the heads up. girl.
