Mackinlay's Old Scotch backed an expedition to an Antartica to retrieve cases of whiskey that Ernest Shackleford's team abandoned after a failed expedition to the South Pole. Funny, it seems like that's the kind of situation where you'd feel like polishing off several cases of whiskey, but I supposed past a certain point you can't really erase the sting of extreme low temperatures, even with a lot of scotch. Mackinlay hopes to replicate the explorer's whiskey, reverse-engineering from these bottles. [Aolnews.]
