[iPhone-friendlier version of video here] Dan Warner talks about the virtues of the bar spoon over at Esquire.com; we witnessed his mad spoon skills you see in the video above while shooting him mixing up the 24 Martini. Several of our other regularly featured bartenders contributed to the same article about the ten key implements for the home bar, including Charlotte Voisey, Mark Buettler, John Byrd, Will Foster and Jim Ryan. In fact, 7 out of the 1o bar professionals (called mixologists over there, but we're firmly on Team Bartender in these parts) in the article make regular appearances on Embury. Executive Editor Josh Condon wrote the piece and we sort of c0-wrangled the bar talent for it--in fact, after the Hendrick's Croquet Tournament I used the occasion of the very rowdy bus ride to Flatiron Lounge to lock some of these guys down whilst passing a bottle of green Chartreuse around. It's a really useful, even important guide to setting yourself up at home. While working on the story Josh also solicited advice on how to pack booze for air travel, so look for that bonus overlfow piece here shortly. J.R.
